I'm Shay!

I met my husband, Tanner, and together we walked a path neither of us expected when he was diagnosed with cancer. I became his caretaker through a long and difficult journey, loving him deeply while also preparing to say goodbye. I was pregnant while facing his death, and after Tanner passed, I found myself learning how to grieve, heal, and raise our daughter as a solo mom in a world that suddenly felt unrecognizable.

I know what it’s like to have your life split into a before and an after.
To hold heartbreak and hope at the same time.
To carry love that didn’t disappear, even when everything else changed.

My work is rooted in that lived experience. Not just grief, but what comes after. The quiet rebuilding. The identity shifts. The courage it takes to open your heart again, whether that means learning how to live in the absence of someone you love, healing after heartbreak, or stepping into new relationships with intention and self-trust.

I don’t believe healing means “moving on.”
I believe it means moving forward with yourself.
It means understanding your story, honoring what shaped you, and creating a life and relationships that feel safe, meaningful, and true.
